    • Stiff hips at times

    • Plays too tall at the point of attack

    • Power against the run?

Overview:

Latrell is an explosive action initiator from the 3 tech and 4i position. I would utilize him as an early down 4i or 3-4 defensive end allowing him to use his play recognition and quickness versus the run while limiting vulnerable double teams more inside. Latrell has pass rushing potential with his consistent action initiation and quick hands to deny pass blocks and create for himself with a quick get off versus pass sets from the 3 tech position. Latrell is a nuanced player for his ability to stop the run with lateral mobility, burst to split gaps and shedding ability with quick swipes and even spin moves to get off blocks. Latrell is missing some play strength and consistent pad level and get off to be an every down guy but has a multitude of traits to be a productive pass rusher and run stopper if utilized properly. Latrell is fluid, active, quick, nuanced and relentless making a versatile defender in any scheme.
