Played in all 12 games in 2023, starting in seven.
After starting week one against TCU, he did not return to the starting lineup until week six against Arizona State. From then on he was a mainstay in the first unit.
He finished the season second on the team with 68 total tackles, 40 solo tackles, nine-and-a-half tackles for loss, five sacks good for first on the team tied with Jordan Domineck, four quarterback pressures, and two pass breakups all of which were career highs.
His breakout game came in his return to the starting lineup against Arizona State where he set career highs in solo and total tackles with seven and 11 respectively. That was along with two tackles for loss, one sack, and a pass breakup.
Had four consecutive games with at least one tackle for loss or sack from Arizona State in week six to Oregon State in week nine.
