CAREER: In his 3-year career at Oregon State (2021-23), he has collected 159 tackles, including 13 for loss of 53 yards (with 4 sacks for minus 36 yards), 3 INTs, 3 QBHs and 3 PBUs while appearing in 37 games with 12 starts.
2024: Mascarenas-Arnold, an experienced linebacker who transferred to USC in the spring of 2024 from Oregon State, looks to compete for time as a senior.
OREGON STATE: As a junior in 2023, he collected 107 tackles, including 6.5 for loss of 32 yards (with 2 sacks for minus 23 yards), 3 QBHs and 2 INTs while appearing in and starting in all 12 games.
As a sophomore in 2022, he collected 37 tackles, including 5.5 for loss of 2- yards (with 2 sacks for minus 13 yards), 2 PBUs and 1 INT returned 37 yards for a TD while appearing in 12 games (all except Florida).
As a freshman in 2021, he recorded 15 tackles, including 1 for loss of 1 yard and 1 PBU while appearing in 13 games.
HIGH SHOOL: Mascarenas-Arnold, a four-star recruit, was ranked the No. 35 linebacker in the nation by ESPN, No. 38 by 247Sports and No. 52 by Rivals. He was touted as the No. 25 player in the state of California by 247Sports, No. 32 by ESPN and No. 57 by Rivals.
As a junior at Mission Viejo in 2019, he earned League MVP as well as All-League First Team. He was also named Team MVP. He recorded 91 tackles, including 17 for loss (with 5.5 sacks), 3 INTs and 1 fumble recovery.
As a sophomore in 2017, he tallied 91 tackles, including 7 for loss (with 2 sacks) and 1 INT.
Mascarenas-Arnold also lettered in track and field, earning All-League honors in the 100 meters and the shot put.
PERSONAL: He is majoring in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Economics at USC. His brother, Akili, is also on the USC football team.
