Scouting Report:

Versatile chess piece, fluid and quick athlete with a physical edge and ball skills. lean and muscular build. In pass coverage Barron lines up all over the field as a boundary corner, nickel, safety, robber and quarterback spy. Barron plays with the same style of play in all spots: patience, reactive and use of hands. Barron is physical versus bigger guys, jamming tight ends up the seam with heavy hands to disrupt their stem and get them off balance. Barron is able to react so quickly with hip fluidity and clean active feet. he gets his hands on nice and low to stick to the hip, letting go and matching with movement to stay disciplined. in zone coverage Barron takes subtle steps side to side and explodes laterally when needed. he sits and squeezes at the apex and triggers quickly. Barron has great feel in zone to the point where he baits the quarterback, bailing out to the deeper level with instant speed. Barron is a ball hawk, tracking the ball with his eyes to the sky and perfectly snagging the ball or punching it out as a trailing defender. Barron is a formidable tackle playing bigger than his frame, he comes to balance and engages his hip to create power at the point of attack. Barron is a Swiss army knife and should be line up on opposing teams’ top receiver and get snaps inside as a read and react zone defender in a curl flat or hook/middle read defender where he can hold his ground, bait the quarterback, trigger quickly and disrupt at the point of attack. Barron is a smart, quick ad physical defender that any team should want on their defense. He will be a multi contract player, potential pro bowler, set for a long NFL career that can adapt to what his defensive coordinator wants to do from year to year and game by game.
